Howdy Destroyer! Im trying to play the game again after a year and a half of not playing it. Im going to help out abit on the admin stuffs here in the site, since in-game im zero knowledge at the moment.
Howdy Frostee, I'm legitly busy :( Let me know if you're interested for Bcracy; I don't think the wiki is how I imagined it to be now, not in terms of updates but as the wiki itself. I hope you're going to be the one who can bring it back to how it should be -- a wiki.
I understand, and from what I have been observing as of late a vast majority of the information is put up be users (as opposed to staff), and Kuby and myself have been needing to do a lot more in terms of administrating (page deletion, managing users, blocking vandals etc.) and I would really like to appoint some more staff to help on the management side of things (if of course they are willing and wanting of the job). I am interested in bureaucracy, and from what I can tell Kuby is too, but of course you being the only bureaucrat the choice is yours who (or if) you are wanting another bureaucrat.
I have also gone ahead and asked the Community Development Team if they think they would be able to something with the wiki's background, as I really think that it could benefit from a bit of a face-lift. Also I have removed you from the staff members list on the mainpage, as if someone wants to contact an admin they may not get a reply for several days if they choose to contact you (add your name back when you are free again).
Alrighty, I have promoted you as bureaucrat of the wiki, congrats!
As of right now, there is no (or so last I've been here) bureaucrat selection process in this site so you can go ahead and appoint some you know are beneficial for it.
I love your drive and work ethics, and Kuby's as well, but mind you, I'd suggest you see and check first whether the bcracy tools are to be of use when a certain person gets it -- before you give it to them.
Since only them can demote/promote themselves, it is hard to just hand the bcracy tools to anyone, so a procress or no selection at all are just the better options from when I was the only bcrat.
I am keeping my tools for now, although you can put me on the inactive list, I hope that's fine. I want to have to still keep my promise to my friend the founder of the wiki :)
Thankyou very much Justin, I will make good use of the tools you have given me. I agree to the removal of the bureaucrat requests as well, I'll take care of that soon. With Kuby I asked him a few questions/concerns that I have for him becoming bureaucrat, and was wanting your opinion on what happened with his demotion roughly half a year ago (as I was not an active member of the community at that time), and what are your thoughts of him as a bcrat?
I am more than happy to have you remain as you are on the wiki, and I really do hope you finish strong with your exams!
Yes, this is mainly for things that wouldn't require a block (i.e. posting friend request on informational page once, or other minor problems), and it is to be used with user and anon accounts.
The guild board isn't going to be implemented as the vote was roughly 50/50 and after looking into it a bit more and assessing what you had to say about it I decided that if the community was not strongly for it and there are very good reasons not to implement it, it would be best to leave things as it regarding that.
Nice consideration there; I'm glad that you thought of the general consensus than the majority of supports/oppositions. We can always discuss opening a board like that in the future, but yea I personally think that we aren't ready for the change yet.
As for the staff demotion process, let us keep it on your sandbox for now, then we can do the modifications there. I like it so far! I seriously hope I get the time to do some wiki works in the future -- exams and real life is taking over me atm.
Thanks so much Frostee. Let me know if you have other plans for the wiki :)
