Yep, get a time machine, start it up in Sept 2013....
The bottom line is this, if you want to start a new guild that is going to be finishing high. Be ready to spend ridiculous amounts of gems to generate even the most average of recruits. There are already thousands of guilds that suck out there that you can go make better. All the best players are spread out....
Creating a new guild is probably the worst thing you can do unless you already have a core membership. If you don't, it's not worth the time.
Let's face it there are only a couple thousand consistent players. If you are willing to recruit new players and help them grow you might get 1 consistent player for every 100 recruit. Even then to build a powerful guild you need a lot of not only consistent players but guys willing to spend serious $$$. Otherwise by the time a player grows to be really useful to your guild they will jump ship to a top 25 guild.
Like stated above, it will be a very long and slow process to build a successful top 25 or even top 100 guild. You will need to start a guild with a couple of friends that you know will not leave or quit when they see a glimpse of failure. You have to start by recruiting anybody, and I mean anybody you can get to join. If they are a good player, they will help you achieve higher ranks and than they may leave, but the rank that they helped you achieve will attract more players. More players means more of a chance to find a good and dedicated player for that time being, or they might stick around as they grow fond to the people and the guild. As you climb up the ranks, you will keep attracting more and more strong players that will help you climb the ranks even further.
Note that making a top 100 guild will take months to create from scratch and a top 25 guild will take even more time to do due to leechers. If you plan on having a top 250 guild, you will need to start looking out for leechers and kick them immediately because they will keep doing it if you let them.
I created mine in January on Ios and I started alone. I recruited from the arena rankings, low levels that just started the game. It took a while and we only ranked in the 1,000's. I slowly built up members and they recruited their friends. Found some on facebook and the share guild here on the wikia.
Everyone who commented is right it takes a while, it's hard finding those loyal, teambuilding players. With that being said though it is a great feeling when you can take a guild from scratch and take them from 1,000 to Top 100 as I did. We just ended shy of Top 50 this last FB war. We are a F2P guild but we have many that gem on their on free will. You just have to be willing to help them grow and enjoy the game as much as u do. Good luck on creating your own guild!
Join up with an alliance and you'll get lots of people flooding in, to do pushes.
